Mary Lee (Holford) Romines

Mary Lee Holford, the third child of Erasmus Lee and Selina Elizabeth (Eldridge) Holford, was born 22 May 1861, in Overton County. Nothing is known of her early life.

She married Thomas Romines. Thomas was born in February 1860. Mary died on 2 February 1891. It is likely that she died in childbirth or shortly thereafter, as she is buried with her infant in the Holford Cemetery on the Gilliland Farm at Oak Hill in Overton County next to her mother and brother William Donaldson.

In the 1900 Census, Thomas is listed as a widower, living at home with his parents and employed as a farm laborer. This would seem to confirm that the infant buried with Mary was an only child.
